Katrina Rojas is a student at UMass Amherst where she studies Journalism and Marketing. She is a young poet whose work can be found on this website and other social media platforms like Instagram and Facebook. She was a finalist for the Storm King Poetry Contest of 2018 and enjoys reading poetry books whenever she can.
Katrina has had a passion for writing since the beginning of her high school career and continues to write independently. She was born and raised in Boston but is fully immersed in her Dominican culture which is a big part of her life. She often draws inspiration from her dreams and life experiences which is well reflected in her poems. Katrina sees and uses poetry as a way of communication and therapy. Her goals are to be a role model for others, and publish several poetry books one day.
