And that night my face bathed in the salt of my tears
which lightly gave my eyes a red sensation that put me to sleep,
and only then, as I hoped, the throbbing of my thoughts
lifted my eyelids, and forced me to dwell with my eyes open.
So in that moment as the air became a little more dense,
I looked up and said 'God, you are my savior.'
Forgive me, for I have seen what the devil does to me
and did nothing about it.
